Canada’s punk rocker Beth Torbert aka “Bif Naked” has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The Canadian rocker chick announced her diagnosis today on George Stroumboulopoulos’s radio show. Naked apparently discovered a lump during a self-examination just before Christmas of 2007. According to her manager, Peter Karroll, Torbert is scheduled to undergo a lumpectomy this week, followed by chemotherapy.
Naked recently married sportswriter Ian Walker in late September. She’s also a Juno Award winner who’s best known for her songs like “I Love Myself Today” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”.
