More then 2000 jazz fans packed the Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto yesterday to honor the late Oscar Peterson. The 2 hour free concert included artists Measha Brueggergosman, Herbie Hancock and Nancy Wilson. Oscar Peterson’s family also gave heartfelt readings during the concert including his daughter Celine.
Peterson passed away at home in Mississauga, Ont. on Dec. 23 at age 82.
