Potential scandal regarding Canadian hockey players!?!
La Presse newspaper reported today that Montreal Canadiens Belarusian brothers Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn are somehow affiliated to Pasquale Mangiola, who faces potential drug trafficking and illegal weapons charges after being one of 50 people arrested on February 12th, 2009 in connection with the Montreal operation known as “Axis“…
According to La Presse, questionable financial documents belonging to the Kostitsyns were discovered when police completed a search warrant on Mangiola. Some of these letters contained the Canadiens letterhead? Sources are claiming that the brothers were known to party on several occasions with Mangiola at various nightspots in Montreal. The paper also mentions Canadiens defenceman Roman Hamrlik being linked to Mangiola.
The Kostitsyn’s agent, Don Meehan, is denying any connection between his clients and Magnolia. A spokesman for the Canadiens said Friday morning the team had no comment on the reports.
No criminal charges have been laid on Roman Hamrlik or the Kostitsyn brothers, according to La Presse…
