         Unfortunately I’m sad to say that Canada was batting zeros last night at the Oscars but hellya we looked goooood!!…

ohhh how I wish George Clooney was Canadian!! lol

         Canada’s Ellen Page told Barbra Walters that she doesn’t deserve an Oscar on Sunday. Page is currently nominated for Best Actress for her starring role in the film “Juno“..

I feel even weird being nominated with people I truly have so much respect for, and people that I’ve been blessed to meet during the last few months. What’s going on in your life when you see Daniel Day Lewis every other week.”

      She’s up against Cate Blanchett for “Elizabeth: The Golden Age,” Julie Christie for “Away From Her“, Marion Cotillard in “La Vie en Rose” and Laura Linney in “The Savages.”… I hope Ellen wins!! BRING ONE HOME FOR TEAM CANADA!!

         Canada hit the Oscar goldmine this year!!! The 80th Academy Awards aka “Oscars” nominations were announced today and “Juno” came out on top with 4 nominations including Halifax’s Ellen Page for “Performance by an actress in a leading role”. Other nominations included, “Original screenplay, Achievement in directing and Best motion picture of the year”.

P.S- George Clooney was nomination for best actor in “Michael Clayton” … I had a HOT dream about him last and GODDAMN was it ever good!!… lol

           Canada’s Ellen Page dazzled at the 2008 Critics Choice Awards in Santa Monica last night. The Canadian actress is currently starring in the film “Juno” in which she plays a pregnant teen. Page kindly accepted the award for “Best Comedy Movie” along side actress Allison Janney! Congrats!… Other Canadian celebs in the film included “Superbad” actor Michael Cera… GO-CANADA-GO!!

          Page’s performance in “Juno” has created huge buzz from critics and the acting community. She was recently nominated for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy“… unfortunately we may not get to see her win it! because rumor has it that the Golden Globes will not be broadcast this year due to the writers strike!…
