        Canada’s Kiefer Sutherland was released from Jail at 12:05am this morning after spending Christmas and New Years in the slammer for a DUI charge…The actor was also sentenced to five years probation, and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program and attend weekly therapy sessions for six months.

He’s a free man!…

           Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland was sentenced to 48 days in jail for drunken driving (DUI). He was scheduled to turn himself in on December 21, which also happens to be his birthday but because of the writers strike, he decided to check himself in a little earlier. Happy Holidays!!

                                                 CBC News has reported Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland will be honored by receiving the prestigious “Award of Excellence” from ACTRA (Canadian Actors Union).

In a statement released by ACTRA President Richard Hardacre he said, ”We are proud to present this award to Kiefer who, as a Canadian actor working in the U.S., has overcome great odds to build one of the most successful careers in Hollywood.”


The ACTRA award will be presented Sept. 26 at the home of the Canadian consul in Los Angeles.
