          Barenaked Ladies singer Ed Robertson had a close call this weekend after escaping scratch-free when his boat-plane crashed into a forested area near Bancroft, Ontario. The three other passengers including his wife Natalie and two friends were unharmed…

Everyone is fine and that is the important thing,” said the band’s rep.

Robertson got his private pilots license back in 2005…

       Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies apparently admitted to the NYPD that the substance found in a bottle labeled “Calcium” was indeed “cocaine“. Page and his girlfriend Christine Benedicto, along with another woman, Stephanie Ford, were arrested on July 11th, 2008 after Police found cocaine and marijuana in a New York apartment…

The Canadian singer and songwriter was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony but has pleaded not guilty!?!?! If the star is convicted he could face up to 5 1/2years in the slammer for his crimes. Page is set to be back in court on Aug. 26, 2008. The two other women involved are also facing drug possession charges…

… A source is also claiming that Page allegedly rolled up a Canadian bill and used it to do snort some blow! ooooh that’s what I call CANADIAN PRIDE! ha ha

The sad part is that the band just released their first children’s album!! What a great example for kids everywhere! The group was slated to perform at next month’s Disney Music Block Party in NY but after recent events the group canceled the concert out of respect.

Members of the band completely support Steven Page, but we don’t want to put Disney in an awkward position before issues involving Steven’s arrest are resolved,” said manager Terry McBride, on the bands website…

It’s possible that Page’s out of control behavior could be linked to his recent split from wife, Carolyn Ricketts of 15 years… The couple have three children together…

        Canadian Barenaked Ladies lead singer, Steven Page, along with two women, were arrested after police found cocaine and marijuana in a New York apartment!!!!

Page, 38, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. He was reportedly arraigned in Manlius, N.Y., Town Court. He was later released after posting $10,000 US bail…

The singer is scheduled to return to court on July 17th…
