.. Nelly Furtado had a secret crush on Liam Gallagher! Furtado was “inconsolable” when she heard that Gallagher had split from the British rock band OASIS.

She told sources:

That band meant the world to me. As a 16-year-old I would write letters to Liam (Gallagher) with my photo attached and pray that he would ask me out on a date, but he never did. At college I learned to play guitar to Wonderwall. Oasis were everything I loved about pop music. They could express emotions with the most simple song structures. They had the kind of brash attitude I could completely relate to.”

Canada’s singer Nelly Furtado turned down an offer of half a million (USD) to pose nude for Playboy!

She told a UK newspaper:

The magazine was even prepared to pay me $US500,000 to pose with my clothes on. I didn’t want Playboy on my resume at the age of 22. If they ask me when I’m 40 I’ll probably say yes.”.

       Nelly Furtado has officially confirmed that she and Cuban sound engineer, Demacio “Demo” Castellón got hitched this summer on “July 19th”! The singer also says that she is ”loving it” being married!… Congrats!

         Canada’s Nelly Furtado performed at the B’estfest music festival in Bucharest, Romania today… I wonder if she went to Transylvania to visit Count Dracula??

        Here’s a few pictures from the 50th Grammy Awards !… from the red carpet to the amazing performances, you truly didn’t want to miss a beat! My “Best Dressed” goes to Carrie Underwood!! she looked gorgeous! and I was really impressed by her performance of “Before He Cheat” …as for Bai Ling! well, I can’t say the same!! WTF was she thinking?!?…

        My favorite British person beside Sir. Elton John, jazz singer Amy Winehouse performed at the Riverside Studios via video link from London, England. Winehouse managed to win 5 out of her 6 nominations including, record of the year, best new artist, song of the year, pop vocal album and female pop vocal performance.

         Canada’s Feist looked amazing a $3 dollar dress from a Paris thrift store! and of course Victoria’s songbird Nelly Furtado looked stunning in a blue gown… There were so many other amazing moments… I loved Aretha Franklin’s dress! she looked beautiful! and to top it off she performed a song written by Canadian Bryan Adams! Tina Turner and Beyonce’s duet… WOW!!…

       I have to say Kayne West is an unreal performer! and the tribute to his mom was nice…. but of course when Vince Gill won “Best Country Album” his comment to Kayne West’s superiority complex made my night!

           The Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club is Toronto got a special visit from Canadian songbird Nelly Furtado today… Furtado has agreed to act as honorary children’s ambassador for The Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club through The Roof and The Second Storey campaign…

          The club was established in 1958, in hopes of guiding at risk youth to positive futures through mentoring and self-esteem workshops.

        Rumor has it that Furtado may have had a secret wedding to fiance Demacio Castellon. This doesn’t really have much credibility accept for the fact that the Canadian songbird was seen sporting a gold wedding band around her current engagement ring. The news of the alleged secret wedding blossomed after singer Natasha Beddingfield mysteriously congratulated Furtado backstage at this weekend’s Y100 Jingle Ball in Miami. Earlier in July I confirmed that Nelly was engaged to her Cuban boyfriend however there was no confirmed wedding date.

          My friend Jen posted a great picture of Nelly Furtado sporting what it looks to be as a new wedding ring! I did my own little comparison of Nelly’s ring 5 months ago verse the new picture seen above.

        I guess all we can do now is speculate if and why they had a secret marriage? could there be a little Canadian bun in the oven??
