Natahsa Richardson’s autopsy results (March 19th, 2009) have revealed that her cause of death was from blunt impact to the head. A New York City medical examiner’s office says Richardson died of an “epidural hematoma due to blunt impact to the head“.

Epidural hematoma is a type of traumatic brain injury in which a buildup of blood occurs between the dura mater (the tough outer membrane of the central nervous system) and the skull. When the blood accumulates between the dura and skull, swelling of the brain occurs. It can be life-threatening and requires immediate surgery to remove blood clots…

Her death has been deemed accidental.

    Natasha Richardson has passed away according to a statement made by the family this evening.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Richardson was born on May 11, 1963 in London, England and grew up in a theatrical household. She has appeared in many films including “Maid in Manhattan“, “Blow Dry” and “The Parent Trap” to just name a few. She is the sister of Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) and daughter of Oscar-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave. Richardson and husband Liam Neeson share two children together.

On Monday, March 16th, Natasha was injured while taking a ski lesson at Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec, Canada.

No further medical details have been released yet.

         John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, released the following statement via Preston’s official website…

This is the first public statement since the tragic news of their 16-year-old son, Jett, who passed away on Friday morning…

We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences.

Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us ahope for a brighter future.

An autopsy is allegedly scheduled for Monday in the Bahamas, where the death took place…

        John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston’s 16 year old son Jett tragically died today while vacationing in the Bahamas. A police spokeswoman says Jett hit his head in a bathtub, while Travolta’s attorney Michael Ossi confirmed that Jett suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene.

Rumors claim that Jett was autistic, however Travolta and Preston have denied it, saying that he suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which can have painful side-effects, sezuires and often leading to heart disease… R.I.P

Kelly Preston and John Travolta also have a young daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000…

      Actress Ann Savage passed away in her sleep at a nursing home on Christmas Day. Savage, who recently portrayed Canadian director Guy Maddin’s mother in the 2008 film “My Winnipeg” earned fame in the 1940s with a cult following as a femme fatale in films like “Detour“… R.I.P

       Macaulay Culkin’s older sister, Dakota, was struck and killed by a car in Los Angeles on December 11th, 2008. According to police the 29-year-old was hit by a car in West L.A and was rushed to UCLA hospital with massive head trauma and passed away the next day. The driver that hit Dakota was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and no charges have been laid at this time…

A rep for the family made the following statement…

         Actor Mark Ruffalo’s brother has died after spending one week in a como after suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. Scott Ruffalo, 39, was found shot in his Beverly Hills home on December 1st, 2008 and was treated at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. According to the Beverly Hills Police a man and woman turned themselves into authorities yesterday (Monday) and are considered to be “persons of interest”. Mark Ruffalo hasn`t made any comments yet regarding his brothers tragic death… R.I.P

         OMG! an Ex-American idol contestant, was found dead outside of Paula Abdul’s house! Paula Goodspeed, 30, a Season 5 contestant who did a “Proud Mary” has apparently died of a drug overdose…Goodspeed’s car, was parked just a few doors down from Abdul’s house and had a photo of Abdul hanging from the rear view mirror… this is kinda creepy? was it just a coincidence that Paula Abdul lived near by? who knows, but all together it’s very sad…
